In case you’ve been a bit out of the loop and don’t know what a webminar is, allow me to share this upcoming technology. No, it is does not involve spiders, nor does it have to do with seminars about webs.
Webminars are simply seminars (workshops, trainings, or presentations) done online. This upcoming technology give a presenter an opportunity to present from the comfort of their own computer and for the participant to view the presentation live (or recorded) directly on their computer. As long as both parties have an internet connection it allows this process is quite amazing.
Here are some of the reasons people are making use of these webinars:
- No traveling is required by either party.
- The events can be easily recorded and shared at other times. (No more missing out on that event you wanted to attend).
- People from all over the world can attend (No more distance boundaries)
- The overhead of hosting one of these events is only a fraction of a live event (no hotels to book, no conference rooms, no worries about food, having to clean up, etc. If you’ve ever presented…you know what I mean)
- The technology can be used by anyone that can type and email and open up a web-browswer.
- Participants can interact with the presenter and other presenters with ease.
- And the list goes on, and on, and on…..
I’ve been following this technology for quite sometime now, but it is not until recently that the technology has been at a point where anyone can use it. Of course it still has its areas to improve, but overall it is an amazing technology that can help anyone share their knowledge. Of course, this technology by no means substitutes the beauty of personal interaction, nor is it reasonable to have an 8 hour seminar online. Webminars are intended to be shared in short spurts and allowing time for the integration of the information, and I personally believe this is much more powerful than having to digest 8-10 hours of information in one sitting.
Why am I sharing this with you? Mainly to share with you another tool that will hopefully give you that nudge to go ahead and share your gifts with the world. Personally I will be doing more webminars this upcoming year, so look for these in the upcoming newsletters.
Meanwhile, if you feel so inclined to take a step in the direction of sharing your passion through this great technology, I’ll make it easy for you to take a step. Simply visit Go To Webminar and get one of their free accounts. Then setup a short webminar and charge a few dollars for it or even do it for free. Invite others to attend and have fun sharing your message. Really, take the step and watch how much fun this can be.
I trust that this resource will support you in creating your next level of success.
