Do not cleanse your system….UNTIL you have taken the time to learn a bit more of what will support your body to create a healthy outcome. I’ve had the opportunity to support many people to educate and empower themselves about how to support their body and create healthier lives. One of the main factors in creating a healthy outcome is creating a healthy environment that will support the body in its own ability to heal many unhealthy conditions.
I whole heartedly believe that if I help my body establish a nurturing and healthy environment, my body is powerful enough to deal with many potentially unhealthy conditions. Thus, cleansing is something I do regularly, and I’ve had many different cleansing programs that have been very effective (i.e. Master Cleanse, Clean Start, Liquid Cleanse, etc.). But there are several things that I’ve done over the years that have helped the cleansing process become much more effective and easy for my body to accept.
What do I mean by accept? Pretty simple, if I’m asking my body to cleanse, then I’m asking it to release and let go of unwanted toxins within the body. But if my body is already under high stress and it is not eliminating effectively, and then I attempt to cleanse out these additional toxins…it would stand to reason that I’m only creating more stress and the body may not be ready to accept more toxins being released. It is in these situations that I’ve often seen a “healing reaction” that the body experiences. If I am not aware of these “healing reactions” and my body experiences more discomfort and/or pain then I might write off the cleanse as being ineffective, which may be far from being the truth. Namely, if my blood pressure goes up, or I feel a bit “sicker” or I feel drained of energy, these are indicators that the body is giving me to let me know that I may be trying to eliminate faster than the body can process. If that is the case then I have options. One option is to completely stop, but that doesn’t get me the original intended outcome. Another option is to modify the process that I’m doing and allow the body to “catch up”. Or the third, is to re-consider my approach. If the third option intrigues you here are some steps to consider.
Taking an ABC and D approach. This is an approach that was shared with me by Dr. Steven Horne, and he has used it consistantly and with great results. I’ll give you the quick highlights and share some resources that may help along the way.
A is for Activating: Activating my frame of mind and emotions to be ready to support the body’s abilty to heal. Without going into much detail, having a positive mindset and emotional state of being, supports the body tremendously in achieving its desired healthy state. Where having a negative thought process or emotion does exactly the opposite and is unsupportive.
B is for Building: Building a nurturing physical environment by putting in nutritious foods and eliminating foods that don’t support your body. In simple terms, adding more “live” food, meaning greens, raw foods, and basically mostly foods you find at the perimeter of a store. Non-supportive foods include refined, processed, canned, and sugary foods. Think of your body as a terrain, how effective would it be at keeping bugs and unwanted critters if you kept dumping junk and trash into it? The body works the same way.
C is for Cleansing: Cleansing is simply what it states. Now that “junk” has stopped coming in, then we can begin the cleanning process. As I mentioned before there are many good cleanses out there, but some of the ones I’ve found to be most effective with my busy lifestyle are Liquid Cleanse, Clean Start, Tiao He Cleanse, Para-Cleanse, Candida Cleanse, and Master Cleanse. Side note, I’m nowhere near to suggesting doing them all…that would be quite a bit for the body to take on. But I have personally done all these cleanses at one time or another, plus many others that haven’t been quite as effective as the ones I shared with you above.
If you are willing to take the time, here is an in depth audio that shares more on cleansing. If you are at this cleansing stage, make the time to listen and take notes. It could mean the difference between having a positive experience that you’ll want to repeat and an uncomfortable experience that you may never want to have again.
Finally….
D is for Direct Aid: This is where I provide direct support to the most affected body system. This direct aid can be done by combining foods that support that particular body system, and even more support through high quality and proven natural health supplementation. Something that supports my decision making include technology (such as HerCompass) and/or even free tools like the Health Lifestyle Analysis. Feel free to use this free tool to help you determine what body system may be asking for the most support, and what tools or supplements can be nurturing to your body.
I trust that this quick summary provides you with the insights to help you experience a healthy life. For what is life without health? It is amazing how many people spend so much of their time accumulating wealth while sacrificing their health, and then spending their “golden years” and “wealth” repairing their health and trying to live pain-free lives. I choose to create a healthy approach while creating wealth by helping others succeed in doing the same. Curious as to how I define success?
