Immunization and autism has been an ongoing controversial topic for vaccines (immunizations). Thus, prompting the question “Immunizations, are they something I should be giving my child?”
As a parent, this is a question I’ve had to seriously look at over time and it has also been quite a controversial topic. This topic that is quite controversial and must be considered seriously. There is tons of information about immunizations and most of it sounds mandatory or an absolute must. My intent is to share vaccines information, tools and resources that is less widely known and in my opinion should also be considered when making a final decision.
Whatever your decision is, I trust it will be the best one for you and your family. My intent is simply to share the “other side of the coin” regarding immunization and trust it will help you in making a decision that will empower you and your family.
I will separate this information in parts, and trust that this page will be a valuable portal of information on vaccines and resources available to you. I encourage you to keep coming back to this page as I will be updating it as I find more and more information on vaccines.
Thank you for your interest in the matter.
Here are some great vaccine information resources that have been of great help to me and I trust they will help you make an informed decision on whether or not you’ll immunize your child?
- Dr. Sherri Tempeny Book on Vaccines. Read this and see the statistics yourself.
- State Exemption Law – This is the official state vaccine exemption law for each state so you may understand what your state allows.
- Am I required to vaccinate my child in California?»
- Dr. Tenpenny on Vaccines website and resources.
- Here is an interesting article by Jim Carrey the actor on vaccines.
- Fraudulent studies from the beginning? The mainstream media has relied on this study as the basis for its public assurances that it is safe to inject young children with mercury — a potent neurotoxin — at concentrations hundreds of times over the U.S. safety limits…
- Take a look at how many vaccines the U.S. is giving in comparison with other countries, and much more eye-opening data on the matter of immunizations
- Special report on Vaccines and Autism that was just put out last year. (PDF file)
In an attempt to be “fair” to the other side of the argument, I’ve come across other articles that would be the opposing view to much of what I’ve shared. I almost didn’t include this vaccines information, mainly, because it is much easier to find pro-vaccines information than anti-vaccines. But it felt inappropriate to share at least something. So here are some vaccines articles:
- Vaccines Don’t Cause Autism?
- National Network FOR Immunization Information
- And of course I couldn’t leave out something by the CDC on vaccines information.
California schools make it seem as if you “have to” immunize your child in order for them to get into school. Well, this little fact may be of interest to you. According to:
“Cal Health & Saf Code § 120365 (2006)
§ 120365. Letter or affidavit stating beliefs opposed to immunization; Temporary exclusion from school
Immunization of a person shall not be required for admission to a school or other institution listed in Section 120335 if the parent or guardian or adult who has assumed responsibility for his or her care and custody in the case of a minor, or the person seeking admission if an emancipated minor, files with the governing authority a letter or affidavit stating that the immunization is contrary to his or her beliefs. However, whenever there is good cause to believe that the person has been exposed to one of the communicable diseases listed in subdivision (a) of Section 120325, that person may be temporarily excluded from the school or institution until the local health officer is satisfied that the person is no longer at risk of developing the disease.”
