After my cough and sore throat I picked up over the holiday season, those little bugs (actually bacteria) decided to get into my sinuses causing a sinus infection. Fortunately, a sinus infection is pretty easy for me to deal with. These are some of the resources I used to help me get rid of my sinus infection with natural products.

First of all I used a simple irrigatation of my sinuses to get rid of a sinus infection. A nasal irrigation is a great way to reduce pain and congestion in the nasal passages. A saline irrigation has seen wide and popular usage in western medicine as a way to treat chronic sinusitis, but personally I found the use of Colloidal Silver to be much more effective for my body. Personally, I used (Colloidal) Silver Shield to do my nasal irrigation. I simply poured a capful of Silver Shield directly into each of my nostrils, and leaned my head back for a few moments. I allowed the Silver Shield to get to as much of the nasal cavity as it could and then I leaned my head over the sink and let it drain out. At the peak of the infection, I felt a bit of tingling in my sinus cavity, and as my infection healed I didn’t feel much. At that point it just felt like water in my nose. I did this irrigation upon awakening and just before going to bed.
Also, just before going to bed I used Eucalyptus Essential Oil (and R.C. essential oil, I got this one from Young Living) in one of two ways. It all depended on how lazy I got. If I made the time, then I boiled some water in a cup and placed about 8 drops of each of the oils into the cup, and allowed them to dissapate their fragrance in the room. If I forgot or didn’t make time to heat up the water, then I simply used the oils put 4 drops of each in my hands and rubbed them on my shirt and then massaged the bottoms of my feet with the oil just before going to bed. Both methods seemed to help a great deal.
Something worthwhile to remember is the symptoms and cycles of a sinus infection. Which tend to be :
- Yellow, green, or dark phlegm.
- Swelling and pain in the eyes, nose, or throat.
- Coughing, sneezing, and sinus drainage.
- headaches and the occasional fever
Fortunately, I jusAnd just as quickly as the infection had set in, it was gone. I trust that these resources will support your health.
