Yes, that’s right, I said country “Life” dancing! I started off the year country dancing with my sister in a club called Cowboys in San Antonio Texas. I’m not one to consider myself a Fred Astaire, but I do enjoy dancing, and I love it when experiences like these help me learn something else about life and myself. For example, even if I don’t “know” how to dance country style, I got to thinking, isn’t that how life really is anyway (we don’t really know many things)? Yes, we can take lessons and that certainly helps, but when do you REALLY know/learn how to do something? I believe that I truly know, when I’ve had an experience, and in order to get that experience I must go out and do it. It’s really that simple. I can’t think of a better way to have started off the year than to have tried something that I hadn’t really done before and to be gifted with the awareness of the similarities between my dancing experience and life.
The more I’ve reflected on the reminder I had while dancing, the more I realized that it reflected how I tend to approach life. I look at trying out different things, I put my best foot forward, deliver myself completely to the experience, learn from that experience, improve as I go, enjoy myself in the process, and then go out and share it with others in hopes that they too get something out of it. In a nutshell, that is much of how I approach life, and I believe it is why I love my life so much. I truly feel that much of my success has come from stepping into experiencing life, learning from it, and sharing. I guess, this is one of the reasons why I keep writing these notes, believing that you may find something of value here and it helps you create the life you desire and deserve. Hopefully, you are finding the gifts in your experiences and are choosing to have fun in the process.
Meanwhile, I look forward to having more “dancing” experiences this upcoming year and trust that I will continue to be of service to you in any way that I can. Continuing to find ways of being of service is one of my ONGOING resolutions, and I am committed to having fun in the process.
