True, today is yet another historic day. It fills the hears of many with excitement and hope of a brighter future. Only time will tell how well we apply many of the wonderful words that were shared by President Obama. One thing that I particularly found powerful in his address was his focus on the values from which all our actions must arise. Of course, these values will be tested and we’ll each have an opportunity to see how well we implement. For it is one thing to know about courage, honesty, loyalty, kindness, fair play, etc. and it is quite another to actually implement them, especially in challenging times. I trust that this day indeed will mark the beginning of a new era, and that we can look back in joy and excitement of how we overcame the challenges we face today. I know that I may sound like a hopeless optimistic to many, but to give in to the opposite is not a path I’m willing to take. I am committed to do what I can to leave this world a better place for my child and all the other children of this world. They deserve my best effort in making a difference. What are your thoughts?
