3 Simple Secrets For Better Health – Especially In These Times Of Swine Flu Concerns

No, this is not another article about the Swine Flu, there is already enough scare tactics and much publicity about the Swine Flu itself. What I am going to focus on is three very simple steps for supporting the body’s optimum health and giving the body an opportunity to protect itself to the max. Now, of course I need to establish the ongoing disclaimer, that all information I share is for educational purposes and it is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure anything. Please be responsible and seek support from the appropriate health professional before beginning any new program.

  1. Support the adrenals – This is a more complex way of saying do the things that will reduce stress and minimize things that will add stress to the adrenal system. These may include items such as salt, caffeine, stimulants, frequent eating of red meat, high sugar content, high glycemic foods, and of course minimizing stressful situations as much as possible. Yes! it is possible to minimize or eliminate negative emotions, you may not have control of the situation at hand, but you do have control of how you percieve it and handle it.
  2. Stop killing the good flora/bacteria of your digestive system. Here is where it may get a bit touchy, because anti-biotics kill off the “bad” and “good” bacteria. Please check with your doctor or medical professional if you are on anti-biotics and the proper protocol to reduce or eliminate them. Of course some of the same reminders apply, such as reducing caffeine, or high sugar content (it feeds the “bad” bacteria).
  3. Take control of your body’s pH (Acid/Alkaline Levels). I’ve written several articles about this in the past (press here to see some of them), buy my focus is support your body’s ability to alkalize. I could really spend a ton of time on this topic, but you can do the research yourself. Simply put, the body works better when it has its optimal pH levels…and many little “bugs” can’t live in a properly balanced pH environment. I’ll leave it at that….

There you have it. There are the three “big” secrets to supporting your body’s optimal health. Of course there are other things you can do to additionally support your body.
